Heidi Wigmore is an artist and workshop leader, erstwhile Fine Art Lecturer and adventuress. She’s spending a couple of months in Tortola, British Virgin Islands as visiting artist at Aragorn’s Studio/Gallery to document creative life on the island and lead drawing workshops on the beach at Trellis Bay. On her return she’ll be taking part in an Artist-Lab for Metal Culture to explore the theme of ‘Propaganda’ ahead of the 2012 Olympics and Metal’s Village Green arts festival.

She is currently an Arts Council Assessor and is working on a new commission for a womens ward at St Thomas Hospital London.

This is an unconventional ‘travelogue’ contemplating nature immersion, culture and creativity and tourism’s impact on small communities, informed by her extensive travels and studies. Enjoy
